The hits just keep coming for Stonewall Jackson Elementary School.
Its most recent accolade arrives in the form of an honor roll slot awarded by the Texas Business and Education Coalition. It marks the third time Stonewall made the list, one of the most prestigious academic awards a Texas public school can achieve.
Only 254 Texas schools, less than 4 percent of all public schools in the state, made the 2009 list.
This year’s standards involved improving a school’s commended performance over 2008, and every school was required to have a minimum of 20 percent of students tested performing at the commended level on all tests for 2009.
Ladies and gentlemen, Stonewall Jackson Elementary School.
