There’s an interesting piece in today’s only daily newsprint that reflects how school staffers feel about working at their respective campuses.
Called an “organizational health” rating, the scores indicate work conditions at the 229 schools of the Dallas ISD. In the anonymous surveys, staffers rated their schools on “10 factors considered key to a healthy work environment” such as “morale, problem-solving ability, creativity, and good communication.”
The point scale ranged from 1, lousy, to 99, pretty darned sweet place to work.
So, how’d the local institutions fare? Glad you asked.
Elementary schools:
Middle schools:
High schools:
It was interesting, too, to note that middle schools by and large respectively scored worse than elementary and high schools, which harkens back to a pondering posed awhile back by the parent of an area middle schooler.

Next, parents should be queried, then students, then vendors and contractors. But then, that would require hiring another CONSULTANT and spending lots more money on more non-educational stuff.

I always wonder why Lakewood media doesn't include the magnet schools (especially the arts magnet and TAG magnet) is listings such as these. A tremendous number of Lakewood kids attend these schools.

lovelakewoodlife, it's probably because we're jealous, perhaps a little bitter, that we're not talented or gifted enough to qualify. [this is where a smiley punctuation face would go if i were prone to using such a thing.] seriously, though, follow the link in the post and i'm sure the school in which you're interested is listed.

Longtime Lakewood residents are loyal to the neighborhood schools.
